Punk Rock Night

So I've been missing the park a lot lately. I don't think I've been there in three weeks, which is far too long, but the weather was nice and I had work to do so my weekend was spent building a deck in Indianapolis. The deck is finished and is awesome so I'm looking forward to getting back on concrete, but anyway...

I started this deck project weeks ago. Honestly, I'd rather work a little closer to home, but when the oppurtunity to hang out with friends and hear good live music presents itself, I go, even if I do have to work while I'm there. Friday starts good, I load the car and drive to Indy, work a few hours, and then hang out with Errol and Jason. We watched a few skate videos Friday night. I think Jason might even want to start skating again. We skated together back in the day. He even talked of building a ramp. Most of the work was planned for Saturday. It went smoothly, fueled by lots of beer. Jason and Errol sure can put down the PBR. They start early in the day too. I opted for Newcastle myself. I don't now how they can do it really, (drink PBR all day, drink PBR all night) but they do. A meal and a nap later, and I'm ready for the show.

Punk Rock Night at The Melody Inn.
Errol and Jason, along with Scoth on drums, are in a band named You Will Die. Every Saturday at The Mel is Punk Rock Night and every so often YWD plays there. I've seen YWD play before, they are always worth seeing, so I was looking forward to the show. It was a good lineup. You hardly ever see all female bands as good as The Tramp Skirts. And Sweet Cobra rocked. I might be biased since they're my friends, but YWD was my favorite. See them if you get the chance.

Also, anyone needing tshirts should check out Errol and Jasons business, PRN Graphics. They printed the shirts for The Concretins.

Excellent report Mofo. You were certainly missed at the park both days, but sounds like you still had a good time. Tramp Skirts huh? That sounds like a fun group o' chics. Hope to skate with your bro and Jason sometime soon. And thanks again for teachin' me boardslides... that's a fun trick.
